800 Series Z-Wave USB Stick, Dual UART

The product is a low cost 800 Series Z-Wave USB Transceiver designed for Gateways, Set Top Boxes, Raspberry Pi’s and other types of Controller devices. The product supports Over-The-Wire (OTW) Firmware Update via the USB interface, which allows easy and quick in-field update of USB Stick Firmware.

The Z-Wave USB Stick enables integration into Z-Wave Networks providing communication with Z-Wave Home Security and Smart Home devices including door locks, thermostats, shades, switches, sensors and more.

The product support Dual-COM Port operation, which allows a second Virtual COM Port to be used for Advanced Debugging, Data Package Tracking og Network Monitoring (stability and diagnostics)

The Z-Wave Serial API Firmware loaded to the Z-Wave USB Stick provides the foundational features required in the Z-Wave specification and enables you to focus on your application software with no need to be a protocol expert. This Z-Wave USB stick works with all certified Z-Wave devices regardless of vendor an Z-Wave platform generations.

The 800 Series Z-Wave USB Stick provides B2B customer with a highly future-proof hardware platform due to its easy adaption to a wide range of protocols, installation types and usage.

The product is offered as Pontoteq branded products as well as White Label, and can be supplied with “standard” Firmware as well as pre-programmed with customers own Firmware.

The drive supports USB v2.0 full-speed and when plugged into a host device, the Z-Wave USB stick appears as a virtual serial COM port.
